(Maybe this should be in Army Fluff or in Daemon hunters, not sure)
Would it be possible for a successor chapter of the Dark Angels to go over to the Imperial Creed? I'm thinking of adding some Marines to my Inquisition Crusade (I'm already building IG, SoB, and Inquisition forces). The problem is, the entire army is based around the Imperial Creed, hence the question. I'm thinking that a Dark Angels force could have had a schism over one Chaplin's belief that the only way to earn the Emperor's forgiveness was to worship him as a god, and move the Lion down to the role of a Saint. This could have happened right after the Heresy or whenever. Their main role would be as a fielded army, with Inquisitors as allies. Any thoughts?
I always thought that most of the Marines didn't worship the Emperor as a god per se. I think it would make sense that the Dark Angels (or at least some of them) would turn to the Imperial Cult to seek redemption. Maybe not though.
um... no lolz. better do use something besides dark angels. There's also the thing about dark angels hating other people to get in the way of their buisiness, therefore, not taking many allies. Ontop of that, the allies that they DO take cannot have any non-human troops in the army, such as ogryns.
Actually, it could work, and it would be interesting fluffwise :w
You can indeed take DH allies, but you lose 'Hunt the Fallen' which would tie in perfectly with the army fluff.
Go for it
DH still seems like the better ally to take.. but i guess hunting the fallen would help.
almost all chapters venerate the emperor as a god, however they also worship their primarch as a god

Actually, the Emperor is not regarded as a god, just a man, a very powerful man who could unite and lead humanity into a new Golden Age, but still a man.
They do, however, worship the Emperor and their Primarch as their creators and greatest heroes, but still not gods.
You must understand the ways of the 41st millenium. Everyone is stooopid and superstitious. i wouldnt be surprised if the emperor was looked upon like a god.
yea i dont like it all that much but im not sure why......yet(yes some say im weird)
P.S im pretty sure i read somewhere that they worshiped their primarchs and the emp as gods.
