How much thicker should carp. armor be (as opposed to flack armor)? If you look at the new stormtroopers, it seems that it should be much thicker, if you look at a lot of officer models (Col. Schaefer, for example) is doesn't look much thicker at all (thinner, actualy, than the plastic Cadian's armor).

It seems like the storm troopers just have another layer of armor on top of flak armor ( as compared to Cadian plastics ). So id just make another thin layer over the model.

I don't think they actually have THICKER armour than regular Cadians, they just have a lot more of it. On their arms, legs and hips mostly.

That's what I'm hoping… It would be a royal pain to have to model more armor on 70+ models.

Cadians do not have carapace, and the Warhawks would have to be majorly converted. What's with you people?

GW are pretty inconsistent with imperial guard armour but they way cadians do carapace is that they have regular cadian flak-vests, helmets and shoulder armour, but they also have armoured lower arms, thighs, knees, hips and lower legs. They also have respirators, but that's not really armour. Turn to page 15 or 32 in the codex to compare.

Some people might argue that the cadians are more armoured than any other regiment, more than even characters that are supposed to have carapace, and I would agree with that. If you want to use plastic cadians as carapace armoured troops then I wouldn't say anything, but there are probably many that would.

EDIT: Oops, you meant the Warhawks on page 30. like you said Fallout_soldier... I was looking at the drawing on page 61 where their doctrines are written. It's true that they aren't converted on page 30, funny that... but the drawing is clearly of a 'stormtrooper'-like soldier with more armour. As I said, GW aren't quite as logical as I'd like :)
