I was looking at the Codex for Dark Angels and I noticed they have no verteran squad. Am I reading this correctly, or have I some how gotten it wrong?

    A little help please.

    Thanks

    Mordy

    BTW, I love this board.

You're reading it correctly, no vet squad.

The veteran squads are the terminators. Any dark angel that has become a veteran becoms a member of the deathwing and recieves terminator honours and is stubborn. I'm sure that a squad of veterans without terminator armour is against their fluff.

A tactical squad that has the option of taking ccw instead of bolters would be useful in a DA army, because if you could have them and give them termy honors they would have 4 attacks when they charge, and they would be alot cheaper than assault marines.

so what, a tactical squad with ccw would be good in any chapter, but only we have them!

with termy honors, they get more attacks and they have better leadership so they won't break very easily. And if they were darkangels they would be stubborn and intractible.

Dark angels are always intractable, and they can be stubborn simply by adding a vet seargeant and giving him the "stubborn" ability. The dark angels command squad is a dark angels tactical squad anyway, so they cannot get their ccw and bolt pistol.
