Iron Dicipline and Die Hards
Either way, my fluff justification would be the same (devotion to the Emperor, yadda yadda yadda...). They seem to be similar, is there a particular reason to take Iron Dicipline/Die hards over the Inhalers? (Besides the 5 more points per squad, which I'm willing to eat...)
 i use Chem-inhalers and bionic in my new undead imperial guard army led by one of the last true vampires
-Hq Captain (dead space marine hero)
-Hq grandmaster grey knight (da vampire)
- 5 pcykers (da necros) :w
-100 conskripts (da zumbie horde)
-2 infantery platoons (50 long dead skellie guards) :o
-20 rough riders in 2 squads
- inquisitor (dead hero)
- deamon host (da ghost)
179 models loads of meltas and grenade lauchers spread around to
right well, chem inhalers- devotion to the emp?? most that use cheminhalers are thugs and conscipts so...no.
i like the idea of undead lol, there are zombie rules in the new WD.
PROUD TO BE IN THE BRITISH ARMY.
~~ Surrender and serve me in life, or die and slave for me in death~~
ye but sadly i cant use em in a army of any kind so ill haft to do whit my conscripts
thats 50 guys and a grey knight grandmaster to join them
i take chem-inhalers but count it as gung-ho or fearless. exact same effects w/out the negative imagery of the drug addicts

Iron Dicipline is the best doctrine, cheap and very effective
If your going to take Regimental Doctrines, you gotta take Independent Commissars. They cost 10 points more but give your Conscript Platoons LD 10 and a power weapon.
you can also move the Commissars around as there needed.
Although i really do like the idea of guys "shooting up" before they charge into battle to their bloody demise... you gotta go with Iron Disc. for a measly 5 points you can regroup under half strength AND you igrnore the -1 Ld for being under half strength, i mean what more do you want?!
another good doctrine imho, and the ONLY special equipment i would ever use, is Cameleoline. This stuff is awsome! +1 to your cover saves! there is nothing like having a 4+ cover save (& sometimes 3+), the look on your opponents face when he unloads with enough firepower to kill a squad to the man.. and then only drops 2 guys... hehe and if you ever play city fight... GOD cameleoline is almost CHEESE is city fight! you get 3+ cover saves all over the place!! ok ok settle down... but just think about it...
Fully agree with cameleoline. A IG squad with 3 to 4+ invulnerable saves? Wee! Incredible in cityfight, but fully worthwhile in a regular fight as well. Staying behind cover is all the guard do anyway! Those Space Marine players weep blood when I unload the basilisks into their squads, taking their save away, while my guard can take it in the line because they SMs never seem to pick Whirlwinds. Add some lasguns, plasma guns and lascannon and they might never get close.
You do feel cheated if the bastards finally get into close, though. What happened to my armoured guard?
Yes, I do play against marines (and those &¤%¤#% chaos marines) a lot. It's the #1 fave army...cheap and overpowered, so all the cheeseheads pick it.
Chaos... yeah they have some nasty stuff. but eh, nothing 150 guardsmen can't handle! the trouble w/ chaos n00bs is that they go overboard on all the "extras". and next thing they know their 1500 pt list has about 25 guys! ... granted there's a deamon pricne & a greater deamon in there.... but that's why we have LOTs of high str guns. just throw a conscript platoon at them, and let them munch on them for the whole game
oh and about doctrines. has anyone toyed around with Light Infantry much? i've been thinking about using it to make a 2nd firebase at the beggining of a game. or to start a firebase ON an objective. i'm thinking it would add alot of mobility to my otherwise static guard.
