I was thinking of starting an Iron Hands army. However, other than the traits found in Codex: Space Marines I'm having trouble finding information. Particularly when it comes to the Iron Father. I know that he is a sort of Techmarine/Chaplain but I can't find rules for him anywhere. I also heard something akin to Veterans in tactical squads able to upgrade to Terminators. Any help is appreciated. :C
Now if that isn't enough I will start immediately(short form of what's from wiki).
Each of the companies is independent, sorta like an individual chapter comprised of 100 Marines. Each of the companies travels around in a Fortress monastery, cept theres is a big building with wheels. Each Clan, as they're called, nominates a Brother(sorta like a Company Captain) that goes and speaks for them at the Great Council(the Chapter has no Master)
They also have no Chaplains, and this is where the Iron Fathers come in. In addition the recruiment of Neophytes comes from the clans of Medusa(each Company has an assigned clan from which they must draw recruits).
These guys hate corruption, and I mean hate!! Thus they eliminate the the path to corruption by replacing portions of their bodies with machine. This leads to the Iron Fathers having most of the power in their own Clan, and the troops will follow them to any end(thus the better way to represent a Father instead of the modified Techmarine is by giving a Chaplain a Power Fist)
Now the next part is where the second trait in the codex gets weird...sorta. Terminators and Dreadnoughts are RARE!!! This means that if you wanted an accurate army, do not use multiple Dreads. The second part of the rule(all of them MUST be venerable) is still cool, because the ones that are left would be freakin' awsome in combat!(now the thing is, I wouldn't take more than 2)
As for Terminators being Sergeants, that's a big 10-4. Thanks to the Scions of Mars trait, you may give single wound models Terminator Armor...of course you must still give them honors first...
Iron Fathers...how about just this www.geocities.com/w40k2ed/ironhands.pdf This may not be legal...but if you ask your opponent it may be permisable
Hope this little bit helped, don't hesitate to ask more..I will be looking for more should you need it,
JOIN MY SQUAD IN THE SONS OF THE LIBRARIUM THREAD, I NEED TACTICAL MARINES! I PLAN TO CONVERT UP A SQUAD TO "COUNT AS" LoTD IN MY SMarine ARMY
The only special rules that the iron hands have at this point are given to them from the traits in the space marine codex. (In fluff the iron father is a cross between techmarine, captain, and chaplain but in game terms he is still only a techmarine.)

Yeah, I kind of figured that they didn't have any rules for 4th ed when I couldn't find anything. Either way I thought it might be worth asking. Thanks for the help guys
