I have to sell off summa my IG, actually all of it, I bought waaaay too many models in tha first place and I need money right now.
I was just wondering how muhc I would be able to sell these models for, the exterminator is pretty well painted, I have a few black coated tanks and lasgunners, 50 gaurdsmen wif lasguns total, 17 greay knights including 3 incenerators and one psycannon, 2 justicars, some of the GKs are unpainted.
I also have some older cadian metals
a whole lot of heavy weapons
TONS of bits
how much would you buy 50 guardsmen for?
heres tank pixx
Demolisher, based black no top hatch. plasma sponsons and lascannon
leman russ, no sponsons
Leman russ, painted decently, heavy bolter front conversion
Exterminator, my best paintjob, old metal gunner guy on top, forge world turret
You paint very well, would I have the money to buy some of your stuff. I think that, if you're selling on ebay, you should drop to 50%-60% price that you baught them. The heavy weapons will probably sell very quickly, I'd charge a bit more for those. Grey knights are pretty sweet, and they're expensive, so they'll probably sell fast if you go down to 50%.
However, if you're selling it all in one go, charging 50-60% probably won't be best. You'd have to get lucky to sell it fast (like someone who really wants to buy a good chunk of the IG army).
If you're willing to wait, I'd think you could get 70% for it all.
Of course, it's all buyer based, and this is going from my local clubs trading.
Edit: After checking ebay, if that's the going rate, you could make quite a bit of profit on that painted tank.

If you break your stuff up into a bunch of small auctions you maybe able to get 70~80% of the original price on average. Maybe more if you get a hot auction. However, this also means more work on your end.
If you lump it all as one, start at half price and give yourself a 3~6 days for bidding. The more pics you have, the better the auctions will go in my opinion. The tanks look decent, so I think it won't hurt your bids that they're painted. (From what I understand you sometimes do better in auctions if the models are unpainted unless they're painted really well, but I could be wrong.)
Above are both quite right, and true, however a couple more hints:
Schedule your bids so they finish on either
1) A friday evening at about 5:20, 8:30 or 23:50 - For people finishing work and thinking about the weekend/ back home from work / the pub and thinking about the weekend (and a game etc)
2) Sunday afternoon / evening. that way people look over it on the weekend when browsing at leisure, and more people compete. not everyone can look at ebay from work / school, so more people will be looking (however some employed people won't bother at the weekend, and they're the ones with the money - i'd put a Forgeworld item finishing about midnight on a friday, to enhance drunken I-must-have it bidding.)
I'd also do it so it in the first weekend of the month - so people are paid and feel more flush (but not immediately after a bank holiday weekend)
People will pay more for great paint jobs THAT THEY CAN USE - your expertly painted pink and purple marine force may look very eye catching on the table, and you love it, but it won't fit into joe blogg's catchan green army unless he paints it. I'd guess the yellow would go ok, but not quite so much the red one.
P.S. put all your bids on at once - if you combine postage (and say so) people may be more inclined to bid. e.g. a tank i want for £10 and a spare squad for £4, and £2.50 postage, i'll bid on both, (16.50 total and a reason to compete if you only win one bid)or: a tank for 12.50 inc postage over there, and a extra 6.5 for the squad = don't bother.
Quality photo's help. so does reasonable shipping (E.g. cost add 30p is what i'd consider good) - cost for recorded and say so.
