Now... the Maelstrom is a group af warp storms that many space marine legions have been corupted by. The marines then go and join the Red Corsairs and become Chaos Marines in terms of game play but still kepp Space Marine looks. Okay my Q. is if I were to start a Maelstorm army and hve Corsairs from many diffrent Chapter(space wolves, Blood Angels, Dark Angels Etc..) could I keep any special rules that apply to the Space Wolves of any of the angels?
Thanks for any info.
I would think not because then your army would become very unfair. I mean, you could by choice or by coincedence take all the best special rules from the chapters and you would be unstoppable. So I would say no. I would think that because they are now Red Corsairs they are a new chapter and would not follow their old chapters after their banishment.

I'm pretty sure the answer is no..it would be like putting them in the deathwatch,or whatever the xenos hunters or called, they lose thier old special rules but get all new ones specific to thier new chapter
hell no. that would have been mentioned in the codex if it was allowed.
Although, an space wolf would still know how to use his true grit and counter attack ability, and a salamander would still be slow, but with good gear, and an iron hand would still have his bionics.
but for simplicity, it wouldnt fly.
If you want to do a Corsair army you should do so from the Chaos Space Marine Codex with no marks but the Chaos undivided and even tyhis one should not be used if possible.
In my opinion, Corsair are not so much as Space Marines who turned to Chaos but Chapters that simply revolted against the Imperium which is not to say they might have been influenced, but they don't usually bear any resemblance with Chaos Marines.
Look wise you should paint them with their original colours and either filing out any Imperial insignia or covering it with a red cross.
Hope it helped.

I thought No as well but just asking. 'cause chaos marines took with them alot of there space marine power suits and bolters. Why would they not take there abillites with them. I mean it's part of there training, you would think they keep there training.
