I have just been introduced to 40k by a friend. I bought the 75.00 starter kit which features SM and DE.
I am going BA for my army, I like the look, death company and the story line.
My friend has been playing for a number of years and he is fielding a Dark Eldar Army. We will be starting out playing 40k in a flash games at lunch.
I am hoping for help in putting togther a 500pt BA army and tatics. If there are any good websites that address this, just point me in the right direction. I appreciate any help.
Here doesn't work? I can't think of anything a differant site could offer that this one doesn't.

Wait, you mean that optimism isn't fashionable anymore?!

Soup's up, bitches!
brand new to the site. If I missed something, let me know. I found 1000pt and higher.
well I'm sure if you just ask then people will answer your question. Here's my two cents. First off, get atleast 2 tac squads, a chaplain, and some DC. The DC are free of points, but that doesn't mean that they don't cost money. So get a good bunch of them so you don't have to go out and buy some more until your army get really really big. Then around 2 assault squads and for the hell of it, a termi squad. That is a basic start into a BA army (at least from my point of view). Just go from there. Notice that this is probably more than 500 pts and if it is...oh well.
Yeah, I would start with just a couple tactical troops and a chaplain. With 40k in a flash games, model count is critical so a couple of tactical troops is a good way to start. Personally I'd just start with vanilla marines until you get the hang of things and then turn your army in BA. That would make getting started simpler
heres some advice from a BA player
get the tacts and the DC, then hook urself up with the first chapetr approved book and play a Army of Death army. grab a chaplain. and a rhino(or razorback) or 2.
tactics? boy! this is the BA: move, shoot, charge. or else? your dead...

Well, the DC army is optional and grossly overpowered, I'd steer clear of it
For a 500pt BA army, I'd go for a nice solid base of Troops (2 squads, Scouts or Tacs) a firepower-oriented unit (Predator, Dreadnought, etc) and then a fast/assaulty unit (Assault squad, DC Chaplain+DC)
This gives you a flexible and fluffy list, which uses a wide variety of models and looks good in addition to kicking ass on the tabletop.
