I'm wondering which tank I should have be my Company's standard bearer... Should I make it the command tank and totally just make the whole thing awesomely cool, or should I make it one of the Aces and spread my detail around a bit?
So, which (fluff wise) would it make the most sense on? The command tank and have the whole thing spiffed up making it a major eye catcher for both enemies and my own tanks (boosting morale) or should it be a lackey, one of the aces?
I really can't decide whether this should go in fluff, modeling, or here... So I just went with here since it's in the middle

A Standard would be better off carried by an Ace. It's more in-line with the fluff and the way regular Guard detachments do things. Perhaps give it to a Squadron Leader, or just a tank ace, or whomever...

I get the impression after watching many war movies is that commanders like to sit in very lightly armed "low threat value" vehicles.
Less likely to get shot up and fast to retreat I presume?

Reminds me of Napoleonic War (and thereabouts) British cavalry.. famously described as "The best mounted (i.e. the best horses/tanks), but the worst led cavalry in the world."

i agree with lost nemesis, give each tank a standard and list that tanks exploits from battle to battle, would be great as a record of exploits and vitories
Ok fellows we have a difficult task, so we have to be more deadly than everyday.

Tactics are nice but it is violence that wins the day.
Give them all standards, guys with trumpets, commissars and the occasional ratling/halfling making something to eat. Drive your opponent crazy with target priority, and maybe then claim the vehicle is obscured because he can't see it through the tag-alongs.
