I played a little game against tau the other day and used my callidus as a reserve. she came in and took out one fire warrior squad but then his crisis suits came in from reserve and shot her down the next turn :o yea. so in the future, wats usually the best unit to use the callidus against? troops, heavy etc. Thanks :w :a 8| <
Against Tau the Callidus can be a great asset. Use the nural sreddar to blanket kill squads of troops and then assault into crisis teams which are one of the biggest problems for d-hunters. If she kills all her guys in close combat and then dies from shooting dont worry, just make shure that what she killed was worth the scrifice.

the callidus is wasted on ordinary troops, she is perfect for taking out non armoured heavy support e.g. devastator squads, and also enemy HQs, cos they dont get theyre saves, even the invulnerable ones!
as mr shadow stated dont be shy of flaming one squad and assaulting another, it can really mess up your opponent
Having seen her in action on several occasions, she rarely fails to kill over her own points value which is a great asset.

I'm with branredmow, go after heavy support. They are our worst enemies and the calludids can take them down. And remember with her, she can dish but she can't take with that 5+ save. Have her go after someone you know she'll desimate. Her strength is that she can go after whomeer you wnat but you have to know how to use her.

against Tau, I go after whatever unit is in front, as it will block LOS for atleast a turn, forcing units to move...giving ou a turn to move with considerable less, if any, incoming fire...

actualyl shes got a +4 invulnerable...
This is very important against tau and really any army USE the whisper in the ear to move something 6" away. EXP. firewarriors as a shield move them away from what they were blocking....
I would use her to target whatever was the biggest threat to my forces. Just remember to keep her away from the C'Tan when playing Necrons. They just suck up her sword so she loses it the rest of the game and it doesn't damage them at all.
Always let her do what she does best: Kill of infantry and getting those nasty shooty vehicles "paralyzed" for a round. How you say? No you don't but i will explain it anyway.
I'm using Tau as an example.
First place her between his/her Hammerhead and a group of firewarriors or crisis (or what infantry you feel is most dangerous) then flame the Hammerhead with her Neural Shredder and the Hammerhead won't be shooting next round, then you assault then infantry group and let her rip them apart, then, in his assault phase, you jump out of close combat. In your second round you do the same thing, flame the Hammerhead and assault the infantry.
This way, she will atleast make her points back.
BTW. the Hammerhead is almost always near a group of infantry, it has never been further away than 14" from infantry. (the flame template reaches 8" and you can assault 6" = 14", if you get how I meant...)

ive always used her for one purpose only...........well two anyways
1)to own whole squads of orks :lol:
2)to kill H.Q.'s
(unnofficial)3) to demoralize my opponents by doing this.........

but yeah for killing H.Q.s or elites she is invaluable and even if shes caught somewhere in a corner sourounded by like 40 troops she always earns her points back and plus some
