To All Brother-Captains and Inquisitors out there (and anyone else who reads this thread):
The moderator team has decided it would be a good idea to come up with some new subforum titles. The Daemonhunters title appears in the subforum list, and is currently set to "Better crippled in body than corrupt in mind."
A fine slogan, but we thought it'd be a good idea to come up with a new one, sort of freshen things up around here, and we thought it'd be an even better idea to bring YOU all in on it.
Thus, this thread. Here's a similar thread (Clicky!) set up by the traitors over in the Chaos forum. As you can see, we want your opinions on the title for the Daemonhunters forum. I'm going to leave this forum open, at least for a few days, or longer if need be, and then I'll start up a poll with the best or most popular suggested ideas. The winning title will be added to the forum.
I've always been a fan of:
"Innocence Proves Nothing!"
"A Plea of Innocence is Guilty of Wasting My Time"
Although those are more generic Inquisition quotes
Blais's Paint Studio-Getting broken armies good soft scores since 2009
A couple quotes from Grey Knights from Dawn of War
"All sinners fear the Emperor's wrath!" (This is a neat one)
"Our faith makes us strong"
"We strike with the wrath of the righteous!"
"Suffer not the witch to live." (Decent one)
"This is the judgement of the righteous, scum!"
There's a bunch more but most probably wouldn't be too fitting for a subforum title.
Edit: Thought of another quote though its too long, its still a cool one, "...it is better that one hundred innocents fall before the wrath of the Emperor than one kneels before the Daemon" - First Book of Indoctrinations

"Your tongues can't repel flavor of that magnitude!"
"Banish The Daemon Within And Without"
sounded better in my head
"Burn the heretic, kill the mutant, purge the unclean" 0:
"One must do violence to the object of one's desire; when it surrenders, the pleasure is greater."
Marquis De Sade
I like Mikas version
My idea: "FERA ME, FOR I'M FEAR INCARNATE!"
or "Purging is a way not method"
"...it is better that one hundred innocents fall before the wrath of the Emperor than one kneels before the Daemon"
Don't bother having anything more than meaningless small talk on this forum, the moderators won't allow it
Not bad so far!
I think we've got the problem here of being PART of the inquisition, but not the WHOLE Inquisition, so I'm inclined to leave out sayings like "Burn the Heretic!" Nothing wrong with the phrase, but that's a better one for Witch Hunters than Daemonhunters, you know?
I think we're looking for phrases that best fit the Grey Knights AND the Inquisition, or anti-Daemon-related sayings, rather than anti-heretics or anti-xenos, if that makes sense.
STOP... Hammer Time!
"...it is better that one hundred innocents fall before the wrath of the Emperor than one kneels before the Daemon"... also good Rattrap.
or... "Banish The Daemon Within And Without" from Darkoth.
We could just keep it simple: Chaos is the sux
It's worth a krak!
Not sure what the character limit would be for such a thing, but I always liked:
"An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded."
Which is somewhat general, but could be viewed as an admonishment to guard against daemonic influence. Bit of a stretch, I know . The trouble is, there aren't many Malleus-specific quotes that are short enough for a title. Here are a few more that are... sorta related to the Ordo Malleus:
"In an Imperium of a million worlds, what is the death of one world in the cause of purity?"
"Some may question your right to destroy ten billion people. Those who understand realize that you have no right to let them live..."
These are more general Inquisitorial credos, but I think they apply best to the Ordo Malleus, as daemonic incursion seems the best excuse to torch a world that I can think of =).
Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.
If you're intruiged by doctors who are also ninjas, then this is the webcomic for you!
