    Confessions of an Inquisitor

I have been involved with 40K for about two years. My first (and favorite) army is the Sisters of Battle. As soon as I began to play, it occurred to me that the Adepta Sororitas has many short comings, making it oh-so-hard for them to go toe-to-toe with so many other armies. However, I hang in there, having decided that the problem is not with the Sisters but with my inept abilities as a strategist.
It has occurred to me lately, that a great many people seem to do nothing but slam them. Whether this frustration or snotty sarcasm, I can't figure out. Among the things I've read:
Veterans don't like Celestian squads, what's the point of the Dominions, storm bolters are useless, Penitent Engines & Repentias are all cool looking models with rules that suck so don't use them, arco-flagellants aren't any better than Repentias, St. Celestine this, Inquisitor Karamazov that, blahblahblah
Someone even suggested that the Sisters of Battle belong in a Monty Python sketch! (Suffer Not the Commedian to Live!)
I understand the 5th Edition may make things worse.
    Any words of encouragement?;? (Please!!!)
    Thanks

Sometimes Beautiful models are more rewarding than good rules =).

What are you worried about in 5th ed? The only thing in all of the rumors I have seen that I don't think is pure *gain* for sisters of battle is requiring a test to Hit&Run

I long for the good old days when a SoB army was packed with Rhinos of driveby flaming.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.

Well, it will be harder to kill all armor (new table plus cover save), and you will not get entangled after emergency bail out.......... They should also get cheaper, if we ever see a need Dex for WH...

    *cough* I have

I wanted to write my own codex to tweak all the stupid things in Witch Hunters (eg Penitent Engine cost). I have gone over most things (no guarantees for balance), but want to create a new HQ, Fast Attack and Heavy Support to go with it. I am currently waiting for the new Space Marine codex to get a better idea for balancing points in fifth edition.
