A new dreadnaught idea introduced by my opponent, The Flying dreadnaught!!!!
Counts as fast attack. Can fly 12 and assault 6. Any unit it attacks suffers d6 strength 5 hits for each engine. comes w/ 2 engines. Anything not on the small bases, (such as ogryns, wraithlords, Avatars, etc...) gets a strength 10 hit, This includes tanks. The dreadnaught in turn suffers a strength 6 hit on its front armor of 12. all for 120 points!!!!
Is it unreasonable for me to refuse this. think about it, he could field a total of 9 dreadnaughts. All this is is just one uber assault squad, cheaper than a full unit of assault members. So he could charge over a building and all other terrain w/o penalty, and hit a Leman Russ' front armor, the most powerful in the game and assuming it didn't move last turn has a 25% to blow it sky high, while he has a 1 in 36 chance of killing itself. for 120 points. please tell me this is a little cheap
reread your post sounds like you've already answered your question
Veni Vidi Variant
I came, I saw, I got a different type of Leman Russ.

i think its cheap, but he insists it isnt. My mind is already made up, but i would like to hear how others feel about it
That is insanely cheap... 1/36 chance is nothing, even plasma cannons on marines have a 1/18 chance of killing, although the dread is more points. Still, insanely cheap, and NO!
Semper Fi!!! Emperor's Phoenix: 7/3/1
There's n way I'd allow that This sounds like someone who's looking for an unfair advantage to win, because he's regular dread gets shot up.

sorry forgot to add this. front 12, side 11, rear 10. and it works like a skimmer, but still.
i would say wayyyy too cheap mostly beacause if you shot everything you had at it it would take wayy to much to hurt it
and his other units would just shoot you too death while his dreadnoights fleww around killing everything
i say yes pretty cheap
When cities burn and armies turn
and flee in disarray,
Cowards will cry 'tis best to fly
and fight another day,
But warriors know it in their marrow when they
die and fall,
It is better to have fought and lost than not have
fought at all.

Alright lets pretend that a dreadnaught can buy the indepent jetpack. And It did not have the stupid enigne rule. One one per elite and maybe a bit drunk I may let him field it. But that its a cheap unit. It doesn't really make sence for te engines that is making it fly hurt any unit let alone d6 attacks. Is more stupid then cheap.

well supposedly the engines suck up the troops, hence the d6 hits
sounds kinda sketchy.... and cheap. [thumbs down]
-Can I pretend this guardian is an Exarch?
-Well, I'll just pretend this jellybean is a Dreadnought, then when it's destroyed I can eat it!
