When using the flamer template do you place it from the turret or from the edge of the model? I can't find anything about vehicles firing template weapons in the rulebook, the only bit I can find says place the template at the edge of the base of the model, but being a vehicle it doesn't have a base ;?.
I just wanted to check this before I start using my immolators for the first time next week.
Thanks in advance.
I believe they clarified that as the template being measured from the gun mount. check the GW FAQ.

i avoid this entirely
my solution;- tell opponent at the start that all shooting will be meaured from the gun barrel i have done this across 3 edditions and not a single opponent has ever disagreed or disliked it
"take my love, take my land, take me to where i cannot stand, i don't care i'm still free you can't take the sky from meee" ;- firefly
"i'm gonna grant you your greatest wish i'm gonna show you a world without sin" ;- serentiy
"I am a leaf on the wind, watch how i soar" ;- serenity
Sounds like a sensible answer. I was hoping that it would be from the edge of the model so that I don't loose the inch from the template going over the front of the tank.my solution;- tell opponent at the start that all shooting will be meaured from the gun barrel i have done this across 3 edditions and not a single opponent has ever disagreed or disliked it
doesn't really matter - as long as you're consistant throughout. For me, taking the template out of the dragon's mouth or barrel of the gun makes more sense though.
