Am I correct in assuming you can use this power in addition to normal cc attacks?
It doesn't say it takes the place of a cc attack. It doesn't even count as a cc attack. Just a power that's used in the assault phase at initiative 1.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

well i imagine it being at a low iniative it gives chance for the terminators to strike normally.
I'm going to throw in my two cents and say that I absolutely adore this power. I know it's anti-horde, and GKTs should in general not be attacking hordes, but sometimes you don't have a choice. Tyranids, for instance, have an annoying habit of being in combat with you wherever they darn well please =). There've been a number of times where it's saved my bacon. It's also helpful since the wounds count for combat resolution, so you can save yourself from losing a combat and taking extra wounds due to being outnumbered.
Regarding the actual question, the OP is of course correct. The power is used in the assault phase at power-fist initiative, but is used in addition to normal attacks. Just remember that you can't use your Force Weapon if you've got a Grand Master with the power .
