Hi. I've been wanting to start a new army (and grow it to 1500 pts for now) and I was intrigued by the Sisters of Battle. I've played Marines and Guard (going balanced with the Marines and Shooty Army From Hell with the Guard) and I wanted to play a (preferably Imperium) army that liked in-your-face combat. I always liked Sisters models and so I decided to start an army of them. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone could give me tips on starting a Sisters army and I could REALLY use some info on them (like a website or online Codex or anything&#33 because the rulebook is sparce on background and equipment and such.

Here's what I already have:

DAMION'S ANGELS (Tentative name for the army)

HQ
Cannoness, Celestian w/Heavy Flamer, Celestian w/standard
Inquisitor w/ Rosarius, Power Sword, Bolter (me on the field&#33

Troops
1st Cherub Choir (I just like calling my stantard Sisters Cherubs and my squads Choirs) - Sister Superior, Sister w/flamer, Four Battle Sisters; mounted in Rhino
2nd Cherub Choir - Same as above

Any help would be really appreciated!

PS In case anyone remembers, I was the guy that was using Sisters models in my Crimson Tears Marines. Formerly known as Judges around here..

I think there's other threads with advice about starting a SoB army in this forum, but here's some of my ideas: I'd give the Canoness a jump pack and get some Seraphim, move these together. Remember squads in rhinos count as fast attack, I'd drop one of the rhinos and add some redemptionists, and more SoB squads. Personally I'd try use squads of 7 models at least, with one flamer and one meltagun in each squad so they can deal with everything. I don't really know how everything else fares on the battlefield, so I suggest you check out one of the other threads .

Yeah, I was reading the other articles by Sister Mel. What I'm really needing is information on the Sisters like background, army list, wargear, and divisions (like Chapters for Marines or Regiments for Guard). I know that this stuff is in Chapter Approved but I don't have the $$ to buy it right now!!

And funny you should mention the jumpack on the Cannoness; the model I am using was actually Chaplain in the Tears and led my Assault Marines, so she already has a jumpack!

Anyway, thanks for the help. I appreciate it.

Aren't you lucky! The army list (with wargear and everything) is downloadable from GW, in the chapter approved section I think, because the first C:A book is out of print. For some background, check out the army fluff forum, there's a thread about SoB orders and maybe something else SoB too .

No problem .

As for purgation squads, he meant Daemon Hunters. If he had taken the time to actually typ more than 2 words and explain it would've been very nice <_< .

Speaking of Demon Hunters, can't you add units of DH's to other Imperial armies? Kind of like you can add Deathworld Veterans to other Imperial Guard armies?
