im thinking of starting sisters....
first thing- I dont like the hair and faces (NO OFFENCE) but I'd like to convert all my sisters without the sabbat helm... im not sure what i could use and what they'd look like so i want some help!
second thing- Im thinking of Buying.......
Inquisitor lord and 3 acolytes, 3 crusaders and some chiregons (SP?)
2 dominion squads
2 battle sister squads
thirdly- COLOUR SCHEME what colour scheme........
fouthly- i'm trying to keep it low cost
fithly- think the list is good?
sixthly- some Vet. sisters opinions would be helpful
GREY KNIGHTS RULE!
1- If you do not like the Sisters without the helmet, then it's going to be very hard (and axpensive) for you to convert them all as there is no other models (in my opinion) with the same helmets as the Sisters. On the other hand maybe you could use the Necromunda Esher Gang heads as they are all girls.
2- In relation to the Canoness you can preatty much use any Sisters model and a good isea would be for you to work out which weapons you want to use with as the only Canoness model that exists only has a combi-flamer and an Icon.
When it comes to the Inquisitor and retinue you might wanna buy 1 boxed sets and 1 blister (retinue) as those together should have every model you want and still leave you with some other option you might wanna use in the future.
I wouldn't buy any Sisters with special weapons unless is the one with the meltagun as the Sisters of Battle Squad box has two of them in every box (flamer and storm bolter).
Immolators can work very well but are not that reliable in battle as they don't usually last very long (very low front armour) and because of that you might wanna check how many you really are going to use fefore spending some money on them.
Exorcists are the best vehicles in the army list (IMO), the only thing you have to decide is witch one to buy as there is one from GW and another from Forge World, personaly i like FW's one best.
Everything else looks ok for me....
3- First you should decide to either go for the existing Orders or build your own one. If you decide the later then any colour scheme you use should have a nice contrast between the power armour and the cloth folds...
4- It's impossible to build a brand new Sisters army under 100 £, even 1,000 points one.
5- Get a more exact list and post it on the army list thread and i'll comment when i see it.... it's very vague as it is at the moment....
6- The Vets depend whether you want to use the Faith Points or not, again read point 5.
Hope it helps......
Welcome to the sisterhood

1 - no i dont want to get diffferent models i just want to know what i could do with some putty or extra bitz to cover or change the head
2 - im willing to convert because i do many conversions...
inquisitor lord - i can convert that
canoness - id probably use a regular sister or sister superior converted
exorcist - that ill probably have to look into
special weapons - i probably only need melta and flamer
3 - ill look at the codex when i get it
5 & 6 ill get the list up when i have an idea of what to get and what to use
GREY KNIGHTS RULE!
If you convert the head on the sisters your only going to need 2 things actually.
1: a dremil drill (but there are better ones that you can use) to take the battle sister heads off with
2: a replacement head.
For paint scheme, red, white, and black are very sisterly colour schemes. There are a fiew others I have seen and liked. Once I saw brown and blue and that looked nice. Black and blue looks nice too.
The immolator is a great tank, but you have to treat it like a transport. Get it as an upgrade for retributors, saraphim, your hq retinues, and especially domminons, merely because you can still get up to 11 of them without spending a single heavy support option! When treated like a transport (for 65 pts you can make them obtusely abundant too) they tend to draw more fire becasue of your aponent is affraid of the nasty little preasents inside of them getting too close.
Also look into Saraphim. You wouldn't guess it but they are an awsome unit. Almost every time I go without them I feal awfull. You can go without them, but they are wonderfull to have. Sisters players seem to consider them too expensive, but you pay for quality I always say. even at 26pts (I always give them melta bombs, always) they are a steal.
Well im a little short on funds so i dont wanna buy a dremel to cut off their heads....
i have a whole bunch of space marine bitz could i use those?..... id rather putty than buy a drill ....
for the fast attack its either 2 immolators and dominion squads with flamers/meltaguns and 1 seraphim squad
2 seraphim squads and 1 immolator and dominion squad..
colors... i was thinking somthing a black a partly dark red and a bit of gold... but im still not sure
GREY KNIGHTS RULE!
those sound like nice colors. If black is the base color, then I advise using enchanted blue for drybrushing (it goes better with the red than bleached bone or codex grey in my opinion).
If your trying to convert sisters with sisters parts thats very very hard. You can switch the back packs easily, and you can glue things like belt pouches and knives to their hips. Changing heads and thigns gets tough though. Unless you wan't to saw at the miniature with a razor, you need things like jewlers saws and drill press's. The heavy weapons sisters are easier, because their arms are seperate. This makes it easy to change what weapons you give them.
If you don't want to completely remove/replace the head, hair conversion isn't that hard.
Just a tiny wad of green stuff can be used for hair extensions. A very simple change. Or for the slightly more advanced, you can grind off the original hair down to the scalp and resculpt (once again with more green stuff) for perms, ponytails, pigtails, spiked hair, curls, a big pink bow, Hello Kitty hairclips, Evangelion-style headpieces, whatever. Necro Escher clan models are a good source of ideas but any hair or headress can be done.
What I must insist you do, is at least one black sister with an afro and please call her Foxy Brown.
For all hair, the proper texture is important (even the afro).
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
i want to cover up the faces not make them look like teens......
maybe i can putty up a helmet for them?
im gonna avoid the blue for now.. cuz i have a whole GK army in enchanted blue..
GREY KNIGHTS RULE!
if you just wan't to cover the faces, then take one of the old flamer girls, or the current heavy flamer girl, and make a green stuff mold of her gas mask. Then use that to stamp green stuff masks onto all of your other sisters. That would be a very unique army to see indeed. I almost wan't to try it myself!
hmmmm great idea..... maybe ill do that with a sabbat helm and use it as a face mask .....
i still have to buy some sisters and try it out though...
havent bought a thing
