Ok what is your opinion about what weapon is better versus a horde of army(Orcks, Tyranids, etc).I cant take both for my termis. So some help it will be usefull.
Btw i wont to make 4-3 termis with psycannons or incinarators, no worry about points, bat still cant take both of this weapons, or make a mix of both. <_<
MEAT IS MURDER
I'd say psycannon. Both have the same AP, psycannon has a higher S. Psycannon has 3 shots, longer range, and on a termie, always gets that longer range. Plus, you can start shooting sooner at the swarm, which is a good thing. In PAGK, I'd take one of each, but since termies only get one, give them a psycannon. If you're dealing with a HQ+retinue of termies, give the GM a psycannon (he has a higher BS, so it'll hurt more) and the retinue an incinerator.
AGAINST HORDES, the ininerator is better by far... you can catch loads of creatures under template, and to is therefoer better against hordes...
You can give a psycannon or an incinerator to the termie squad but your termie HQ can take one of then instead of his stormbolter. Their a bit expensive but very nice.
How anout a 5 man (includes the justicar) pergation squad with 4 incinerators. Very, very nasty against the horde..........can easily gut an ork mob or gaunt squad.
A Rhino? SLOTH!
I HAVE PLAYED NIDS FOR A LONG TIME. I WOULD RATHER FACE PSYCANNONS THAN THE INCINARTORS. TWO INCINARTORS CAN REALLY SCREW A BROOD OF GEANSTEALERS OR RAVENERS BEFOR THEY MAKE AN IMPORTANT CHARGE!
I'd agree completely. My buddy normally plays Tyranids so I've had a lot of experiance fighting them. He fears nothing more than my immolators, incinerators, flamers and heavy flamers... He's watched entire gaunt broods get anihilated by two-three flamer shots in one turn. I've had GK squads with incinerators banish ravener broods and genestealers just as easily. They beat their AP and str 4-5 against 9-10 gaunts is viciously scary. Psycannons are good at killing carnifex and tyrants (str6 heavy/assault 3)
I adopted a cute lil' poison fetus
from Fetusmart! Hooray fetus! </a>
like these guys said, i would like to put in the incinerators, but psycannons are goo too an account of they have a longer range. but if its a small board, i would say incinerators. CC is almost always going to happen.
Incinerator is the better choice against hordes. Depending on how packed they are you will be able to take out a bunch.
Yeah, but incinirators you generally only get to use once, then CC happens.
With PsyCannons, you can soften broods up, and then take on what's left with Nemesis Force Weapons. (although I must admit it is terribly fun watching 16 gaunts burn from incinirators in 1 turn - but that was a lucky deep-strike.)
I'de say the best would be to take a squad with psyCannons to pot from afar, and then a small deep-strike squad with incinirators come turn 2-3
Frankly, against either of these two armies, and a good opponent, I can't see you getting to shoot the Incinerators at all, here's why.
Gaunts are fast. Damn fast, and either they're going to be assualting you, or they're going to be too far for you to catch with that Flame Template. This may not be your personal experiance, but remember, I said good player. This means that he won't be putting his Genestealers in front of your squad with an Incinerator or three.
Boyz get Trukks. Trukks are fast, AND Open Topped. These two traits make them very fast, faster then gaunts even. Another reason you won't get to shoot them: They'll be hitting you with Choppas.
These two reasons, combined with an oppenent with reasonable skill level, mean the Incinerator should never be fired. The Psycannon is a damn good weapon, while the Incinerator is a Flamer, but better.
