So we have all seen the death of "True Grit" by the new chaos codex, but it has now gone further than that with the new 5th Edition Rulebook scrapping it completely...
So my question is how does this effect the Grey Knights in the future? Should they drop it and make them cheaper? Give them an extra attack to make up for it? or maybe something else...
I don't understand. Chaos doesn't have true grit anymore, what does this have to do with 5th? To the best of my knowledge there's no rule in the 5th book that says "no more true grit". If they drop true grit they'll give an extra attack or make us cheaper... do something (GW people aren't asses, won't just drop one attack off of a unit and do nothing) Guess we'll have to wait 2 years to see.
I just wanted an avatar that was different.....
True Grit isn't going away. It's no longer a USR, which means we simply use the True Grit rule in the codex. In essence, absolutely nothing will change for us. Unless -- Lord help us -- the DH FAQ that gets released on the same day as the 5e rules does something really unexpectedly odd....
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

Unless they remove true grit in the FAQ, which 99.9% chance they wont, GK's arent going to lose this by any chance for about 4-5 years. (JJ mentioned in some media thing that over the next 4-5 they are updating codexes and Inquisition being at the the end).
I dont get why you would raise the issue, its in the codex, and its not going anywhere, simple fact.
Lol, okay I think I was taken the wrong way...
I was wondering if they were getting rid of it in the future... like fading it out.
Not that they were going to nerf our codex, but were they in the future codex going to get rid of it (for something else) or change the rule...
The chaos codex relevance is purely there due to them having pistol,cc weapon, bolter and always having that extra attack (though they don't have big assault weapons) taking the glory of true grit away abit.

Actually we do lose true-grit unless the new DH faq says otherwise cause the current one says to use what is in the BGB for true-grit and fearless. Which is why we get it for our GKT right now which also means that unless it is changed we lose it when 5th is released as it is not in there and it will be the BGB then. That is just how it is for now and we will have to deal with it.

I sense dark times upon the Ordo Malleus
Why do we get the nerfs? Because our armor shines the most...
I thought it was custon to use the most recent official ruling on the matter right? Thats why we were using the rules from the 4th ed. rulebook. But with 5th ed. , those rules aren't official, and we will have to do with the codex of those in the 5th ed. rulebook. If it's not in the 5th ed. rulebook, its back to our codex then.
