you can't and it would be impractical
but imagine the assaults
and all the NFW's choppin up chaos
MAN IF I COULD I DEFFINETLY WOULD

and there ya go
When cities burn and armies turn
and flee in disarray,

Cowards will cry 'tis best to fly
and fight another day,

But warriors know it in their marrow when they
die and fall,

It is better to have fought and lost than not have
fought at all.

Fenix, you CAN. gildelund said a DW-style army, not an actual deathwing.

I know there are a few lists in the list forum (what a concept! ) that are in this style. But for 1500-2000 points, they only get three or so squads of Termies, a Landraider or two, and two really really minimal troop choices. Not nearly enough to survive.

I think a better implementation of this would be another SM army with inducted GK. You could induct an HQ and Elite choice of GK termies, and call them the deathwing.

could u just take a minimal deathwing 'host' army (HQ and 2 troops + LR's) and bulk it out with GK terminators and a GM. It might not work but it is the closest i can see to doing a DW style army with GK

Actually I've been thinking of doing this for a while now. GKs would provide a solid DS force to harass the enemy while the main DW force advances.
The funny part is that the GK termies actually have better stat line and rules, but are cheaper than their DW counterparts.

we have to have some good point value wise units as our normal troops cost 25pt. .

GK terminators are awesome though, well worth it in any force (unless u are facing daemons as they will give them sustained assault, which is not a good thing if u have no other GK's)

I have a Grey Knight Deathwing style army that usually wins. It consists of the following in 2000 points:

A Grand Master with a master crafted Nemesis weapon, 4 terminators

5 terminators

5 more terminators

5 Grey Knights, 2 psycannons

5 Grey Knights, 2 psycannons

2 Land Raiders and a Land Raider Crusader

I think it actually works pretty well, it is a legal, feasible army list.

I know, but we do have some special rules, stubborn, hunt the fallen...
come to think of it, we need cheaper death wing I might campaign that.

Back on topic, I know that some people dislike fluff in the extreme but I like it as a means to explain why they're all together, how would you explain the deathwing and GKT?

The easiest way would be the same way you explain any allied Grey Knights, daemons.
