Hello to the IG section. Never been here before but need ur collective advise on an issue of ISTs or STs to u lot.
Im using the standard bearer and medic models to add flavour to the IST squad but the problen is that fundimentaly they are cadian models not karskin. Sure i could model some extra armour but the 2 models look sweet just as they are so i dont particualy want to change em. The question is, if painted up, would they 'fit in' in a karskin squad or would getting the 'classic' Storm troopers perhaps look better. Im not so cheap as to use plastic cadians as ISTs but i certanly dont want to convert 20+ cadians into ISTs! o_0
A tricky one but has anyone a peice of advise before i take the plunge?
P.S. i love both the old and new ST models, was thinking of mabey having one of each, jus another idea.
No replys? for shame IG section!
Sure, some people might state that its not strictly WYSIWYG, but then again, there is no option for taking flak armour in a storm trooper unit, so as long as it is obvious it is a storm trooper unit, no problem!
Kinda like Dark Angels and their bolt pistols. Most won't have it modeled on the mini, but we all know they've still got 'em yeah?

Also, you should google "garfield minus garfield". Awesome.
Yes, that's 106 models and 7x tanks (and ravenwing box, terminator box+1 and extra razorback with 5x men) I just wish the one's i started painting last march look the same as the ones now, because of the different inks/washes (and admittedly painting practice)
ahem. sorry 'bout that.
Have you considered the space marine scouts? They make good stormtroopers (mixed with spare tank heads (with radio bit) - and your cadians can have a classy heavy bolter to stand and pose with.
