So according to the new codex there is NO penalty for moving when you are firing your Battle cannon. Meaning they will hit 1/3 of the time and if they scatter it will average 4 inches right?
In the last ed, if we didn't move, we get 3-4 inches. If we moved, we get 5-6 inches. Most of the time you will miss if you move and fire because the template is 5 inches.
Not to mention the great new rule with no partials, cover saves, new smoke launchers etc. Blasts very unlikely to give the enemy coversaves etc.
Now the LRBT is truely the king of the battlefield.
"Hard pounding, gentlemen: but we shall see who can pound the longest."
Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington
"Pickles, the drummer, doodily doo. (Ding-dong, doodily, doodily, doo.)"
Also, you should google "garfield minus garfield". Awesome.
as it should be. tanks should be mobile engines of doom.
as General Grizmund (Necropolis) said, "a tank firing fast is scary, a tank that's moving fast while maintaining the same rate of fire and still firing accurately is down right terrifying" (or something along those lines)
Heh heh heh the whole scatter thing coupled with ramming makes me giddy inside.
Rheagar fought nobly
Rheagar fought valiantly
Rheagar fought honorably
And Rheagar died.
I'm afraid that if my Russ shoots over enemy units at a unit behind them the target will get cover saves from the blast some how.
That is kind of a nerf to the battlecannon. If you shoot at a target like 40" behind a unit that is closer to the russ that unit sone how gets cover saves. Kind of weird.
I guess the target will get cover saves? The range might make the Russ able to see over the interfering unit, so not to grant cover saves to the target.

This plan is so perfect, it's retarded.
LOS is drawn from the vehicles barrels, to the target unit. If you can draw LOS to the majority of the unit without obstruction or area terrain, the target unit receives no cover save.**LOS from the vechiles will be from the weapon barrels to the target. If you can draw LOS without passing through units/area terrain then the target would not get a cover save.
In my experience, a table with 25% terrain easily lends 75% of the enemy units a cover save.
