    Closed Top Basilisk

The GW website says this about the Bassys, "The open-topped design of the Basilisk allows the vehicle's Earthshaker Cannon to be elevated to a steep enough angle for it to fire indirectly at targets that the crew don't have a line of sight to. It allows the Basilisk to deploy out of harm's way where the enemy cannot see it."

So my question is this, if I make the Bassy closed top can I still have it fire indirectly?

but a closed top bassy takes away so much of the mysticism!

Rule of thumb - fluff type stuff such as the above quote from the GW website have absolutely no bearing on rules in any way, shape or form.

I mean, if fluff had more of an impact on rules, then I'd take a single Marine and be able to wipe out any army I come across.

Very true. As from Gaunt's persepctive the chaos terminators are scary but him and his squad (of vets essentially) were able to kill 5 of them in close quarters with demo charges flamers and sticks.

I've had a squad of Veterans hurt Chaos Terminators.. granted it was from 12" and I shot them with 5 of 7 possible plasma shots and all 5 of them didn't die, but still. I digress. I like the Movie Marines list - it really reminds you of the discrepancy between fluff and fact. I imagine Space Marines in gameplay as modern day, industrialized/developed world armies vs. third world troops - they're considerably better, more efficient, capable and disciplined, but not entirely superhuman. Although we'll see what the Americans are cooking up, haha.
