Is it just me, or is cameleoline now the best doctrine in the army?
Since almost all terrain now gives a 4+ cover save, any unit with cameleoline obscured by it gets a 3+ cover save. That's better than having power armor! It seems like something they'll 'fix' in the new codex, but as it stands, I can't see a reason not to use it in every list.
Does anyone see a problem I'm not noticing?
"Any job worth doing, is worth doing with a powerklaw."
and then add the going to ground save on that for a nice 2+ save. Guards with terminator armour minus the invul save.
Where the heck did all them guardsmen come from?
Great Wolf! Is that the howl of the 13th?
Cameleoline is definitely a very good Doctrine, and was even in 4th. I'd be careful with making too exclusive use of it, though; i.e., find ways to model it without spending too much cash. Once the new IG codex ends up rolling around (likely not too long), cameleoline will be a thing of the past. So use it while you can, I would just be hesitant to completely redo an army for it.
Oh yeah MackDawg, don't forget another nice little item called Cyber-Enhancements. Granted it's only a +6 invul. save. But it's still alot cheeper to go with guardsmen armed with those two doctorines for abit cheaper price. Then again I could be mistaken, but it still ain't something to laugh at.
I'll be damned before the soldiers of the Emperor are just left to rot!
Last words of Colonel Densit from the Rahaxin 19th
"DISS NOT THE EMPEROR'S POINTED STICK, HERETIC!"
If it doesn't work with the Emperor. Then it's been officially Karmooned!!!
BEWARE THE POWER OF THE LIGHT-BRIGHT!
Chameleoline is nice, but consider the overall per unit cost and I wonder if it might be better to just add a remnant squad or extra HW squad...
just a thought. But I DO agree with you that it IS a boon and might have to be looked into.
