    First Point:
Predators are cool. But then, if you count a Dreadnought as a tank, then that's probably my favourite. (I can't really say much on this matter, as I only have one tank, the LRC. But still)

    Second Point:
Why did you start four threads almost at the same time? Three of which are about the same thing, which you could have searched past posts for, and even if you didn't you could have started one topic, which asks both questions (best ally/best tank). What you've done is little more than spam, and the mods of this site probably won't look kindly on it.
    Golden Fists:
    W/L/D
    0/3/1

Ravenwing: list made, now just to buy all the stuff on it (why do bikes have to be so expensive?)

My favorite at this point would be the Land Raider, simply because it epitomizes what Space Marines do.

For a really in depth discussion of the various tanks (and a full run down on each of them), check out this old thread.
"Don't Delay-The best is the enemy of the good. By this I mean that a good plan violently executed now is better than a perfect plan next week. War is a very simple thing, and the determining characteristics are self-confidence, speed, and audacity. None of these things can ever be perfect, but they can be good."

The basic new player tank: Predator with Twin-Linked Lascannons and Heavy Bolter Sponsons. Good at everything, cheap (points and money) firebase for small armies.
Henceforth no man shall set foot upon the world, and all around shall be set sentinals to ward away unwary spacecraft. We must accept that this place is lost to us forever, and is now the eternal habitation of abomination.

I find the predator with the autocannon mounted and two side heavy bolters more effective

I play chaos and my predator has been the best so far. Twin linked lascannon and lascannon sponson = dead crons and marines.
