What decent anti-tank stuff would you reckomend for my pure deamonhunters 1000pt list for a tournament,so far ive just got a dreadnought with lascannons but need more without unbalancing my army.
1. Meltabombs on deepstriking justicars
2. Inquisitor and plasma-servitor (+2 sages) (or metla-servitor + transport)
3. Lance strike
4. Brothercaptain with thunderhammer or chainfist
5. Meltaguns on IST in transport
You could also use hammerhand on your HQ, and your simple S6 NFW should work as there wont be much Armour 14 and there should be alot of weak rear armour that your GK's can punch straight through
Deepstriking GK (S6 weapons) with a Justicar with meltabombs takes care of most armor for me. Psycannons and Plasma Cannons take care of weak armor as well. I toss a hammer into my GM's retinue just in case.
I don't bother with hammerhand (come on, S6 force weapon!. Orbital Strikes aren't dependable for anti-armor.
Best (cheap) way to take out armor in a DH army (in my opinion at least) is a squad of IST's in a rhino. Give them 2 meltaguns, and a tooled up vet sarge (Thunderhammer, power armor). If they can't pop it, well, it's gotta be a monolith then
When I can afford it, I'm purchasing a BC with chainfist and a few more termies with thunder hammers to act as a deepstriking anti-armor/character unit. Slow, but with a 2+/5+, I'm not too worried.
