What happens if I surround a greater daemon with sanctified inquisitors so that the greater daemon cannot be within 3" of any of the inquisitors?
Also, in Apocalypse - how many points would it cost to cover a 4x4 board? Well.. 35 points for an inquisitor with sanctuary, needing 204 inquisitors to cover the board.. thats only 7000 points. But that's a bit pointless, as you have a starting zone. How about 50 inquisitors with psycannons and sanctuary - approx. 70" of daemon-nullified space and 150 invuln-negating shots each turn? Thats only around 3000 points.
How open is this power to abuse, and what cool things have you used it for? I personally have only used it to avoid combat with some very angry khorne units, but I can see lots of potential...
If I understand the rules correctly however, other characters can still shoot at him...
Oh and remember, if you move, shoot, or assault, sanctify crumbles. So those inquisitors with sanctify and Psycannon, ummm, you better be careful not to get assaulted, cause they will die fast if you are caught with your pants down. Also remember one thing, with 50 inquisitors, that is 50 psychic tests / perls of the warp tests. lol 1 turn would take infinite amount of time haha.
But I like the list! lol No idea is a bad idea!!!!
If you know you are fighting daemons, take as many Inquiistors as you can, all with sanctuary and 2 mystics. Deploy in a line so the sanctuary effects touch, and then set up your GKs behind it. When the daemons drop in, nail them. Then shoot from safety.
It's a one-trick pony, but against that one army, it's a beaut. I wouldn't build an all-comer's list out of this, of course. And, in fact, it's not necessary to beat Daemons, either. But it's fun to use once.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

if the deamon is stuck is moved so it is not within 3 of any inquisitors on by the shortest distance. and the way to abuse this power is to get a squad of 5 grey knites with 4 pycannons. Or give the inquitor a retinue of a sage mystic and 3 servs with heavy bolters. (the inquisitor cant shoot but his retinue can) you can also just get 3 inquisitor and that should be enough room for your army to stay inside.my favourite piece of fluff in the game lol!!!!!!
Nothing more funny than 3 inquisitors with sanctify when facing deamons. They cant do anything while you stand in front of them having a tee break.
Hey Blood bath, how are ya?
Glad to see you in the daemon hunter forum, though just 1 thing, at LO, we try to be understanding to those who have trouble with the English language, which I am guessing you have some trouble with, that is no problem though, here are some tips to be more understood:
1. Capitalize the first word in a sentence.
2. Use proper spelling. If you are not sure, try to google the word, or go to dictionary.com, both will give you suggestions for words that you might have meant.
3. Try to have complete flowing sentences.
4. Also proper punctuation, grammatical structure, and etc..
You have 117 posts, so by now I am sure that you understand the rules, but I figured I would give you a friendly reminder before a mod talks with you about it or possibly negative rep. And don't take this the wrong way, I am not upset or mad, lol I am just trying to give you a friendly reminder before you get in trouble and get talked to by someone who matters.
But getting on topic, I agree with your points, 3 inquisitors with sanctify and mystics are a great choice against daemon armies, and with three of them, spaced correctly, you should be able to hide most of your army in sanctifies sweet embrace!
