Since the fifth addition has come out, it's obvious that vehicles are a real asset to any army, and that the landraider is the daddy of all vehicles. However, I've always been told that it would be a waste to put a simple 10 man tactical squad in one. Simple question, with the new troop objective rules, is this still the case.
Dumping a tac squad in a land raider on an objective seems a sure fire way to easily hold an objective. True or false?
I fear it could be overkill- a Tactical Squad (or two) on its own should be enough to hold it, especially in cover.
Saying that, with the new vehicle-moving-and-firing rules, a LR would be largely stationary after having discharged its cargo, so after that, having it sit on an objective, protecting the Tac Squad and being a general Pillbox might not be a bad idea.

Couldn't agree more on the Wolf Lord... on the second part. Run to the objective, unload all people and then have the LR sit on top...
My question arouses if the LR is destroyed... will it destroy the objective as well?
Thanks to all the people showing faith in me
I sometimes feel that everyone will leave me and they will be on their own...
Of course the objective is not destroyed, it simply becomes dangerous terrain (or impassable terrain) in the way of getting the objective, making the game a little more... interesting

It may not be quite as terrifying as a squad of Assault Termies popping out into enemy lines, but the humble Tactical squad is still an excellent choice to put into a Land Raider, and remember that the Raider can still transport any unit you like if you decide that someone else needs the ride more.
