How do you work it out, since you have to roll to hit with the inferno cannon?
I would interpret it as you go ahead and roll the D6 to determine how many units take a hit as described in the rule book, then go ahead and proceed as normal just using the D6 to determine how many models would be under the template. So ex: you shoot the firepoint with the inferno cannon, you would roll the D6, and lets just assume you got a four, you would then roll to hit with the inferno cannon assuming you have four models under the template. The rest works like normal. This is just how I would work it, others may disagree.
Battlesuits, putting the BS in BullS*%t.
My guess is you play like this:
1. Place template over building and firing port
2. Roll a dice to see how many models are hit
3. Roll to hit dice
4.If you hit, resolve a hit against building and the D6 models
5 If you missed, roll one dice for building and for D6 models to see which ones are hit.
