Hi, Im looking to buy a chaplain for my army, thing is that im going to equip him with a jump pack. My question is do the regular chaplains on foot come with the plastic backpack that you have to glue on? Reason I'm asking is because I cant decide if I like the look of the jump chaplain GW offers.. and I kind of want a little variety, by adding a jump pack to one of the chaplains without a jump pack.
The metal jump pack chappie is the only one that comes with a jump pack. All the rest come with a plastic "regular" backpack, so you'll have to scrounge up a spare jump pack to do this.
Note: Many modeling purists will point out that you should use greenstuff to make some straps for the jump pack, too.
Thanks! Hmm.. this could be a chance to try my first more serious conversion.. I just can't decide on which chaplain I like the looks of better.
You could try scratch-building one, too. The Dark Angels Veterans box set comes with a plastic arm and "power mace" that looks like a dead ringer for the crozius arcanum. I've heard many players take a certain Chaos marine helmet and paint it like a skull.
Other than that, all you really need is another arm, torso, backpack and legs from an assault marines box, and you're set. You can order many of these bits online. There are lots of sites that do this.
Thanks for the suggestions, I was looking around battlewagon bits so who knows what I could find.
