Im looking for a little help form people more knowledgable about guard for help with my fluff. The army im going to field will be part Cadian part Death korp. Im thinking of basing as a Death korp army with forgeworld HQ models, Rough Riders etc but intregrating cadians into it also. Although this is quite flexable at the moment as army is still in design fase.
What / where would be an effective planet for these 2 merge on. Im probably going to equip my cadians with the resperator upgrade heads from forgeworld meaning they will feel more ot home on death korps native planets.
PS. Im well aware of the extra cost. this is a minor factor as my army will be built slowly so will have plenty of time to save .
There's unlikely to be a planet matching the exact properties you want.
Invent one! It's what most people do, lol. Then it can be whatever you want it to be. There are supposed to be a million, million worlds in the Imperium (Or some other mind-boggingly big number). So, there's more than enough leeway for you to invent a convenient planet, and write whatever fluff you want.

Seconded, its easy enough to make up a world where the two uniform types would exist side by side.
Perhaps the officer cadre are very traditional and so have less advanced looking uniforms and body-armour?
The name refers to facial hair, not playing style.Originally Posted by A news vendor's stand, London, June 1940
Depends.. you could call them a battalion of detachments. These are formed when several units that have been weakened through disease and combat are merged to form a full strength one. You could give them a name like 153rd Detachment Regiment or something. Or you could name them after the planet they were fighting on when the amalgamation occured, Armegeddon would be a good one for that.
Alternatively you could say your unit has had problems with supply and some soldiers havnt yet recieved their new issue of kit. Your planets forces may contain a variety of troops, the Krieg troops good represent regular infantry blokes and your cadians elite rangers.
Or just don't paint them like Cadians or Death Korp and make up your own fluff. Most people who use the Cadian models don't play them as Cadians.
I once planned on making a mixed regiment myself. Just one half of my guardsmen ash wastes camo (prominently dark red) and the other half a dark green scheme.
Thank the emperor I gave it more thought before painting, I almost created a christmas army! (Green + red = nooo). So I scrapped the idea and made my own, better color scheme.
I recommend making your own regiment/planet aswell ^^
