Is taking a Seraphim Squad as your fast attack (equiping it for anti-armor) a viable alternative to taking mutiple Dread's? I mean still take at least one Dread and then a squad of seraphim. I think the seraphim might also be able to support other squads performing DS. Would this work? I am sure someone has already tried it.
I haven't tried it, but I do plan to. it certainly sounds like a Seraphim squad will greatly help round out a GK DH army.
I think only one dread should be used per army, you don't really need anymore.
Supporter in the Eternal War Against.......Nothing!
seraphim might work although personally im not to keen on having to knock out tanks on turn two or three and having to reach them, prefering to knock them out at range.
However i think a seraphim squad tooled up for cc with hand flamers and a vetran with a power weapon would make a great double team with deep-striking termies!
I am playing some small 500pt 'in a flash' games tonight. Am taking a squad of GK a squad of seraphim and an =][=. Will see how it goes. The seraphim are tooled up for armor hunting right now, with Inferno Pistols. The Vet Sis Sup with power sword and Plasma Pistol. The 'Quis is just to act as a HQ and carries bolter, power sword, and Power Armor. Short GK squad 5 man with a psycannon.
This will actually be my first game ever and I am looking forward to seeing what happens. I anticipat having to face Necrons, Eldar, and SM.
