Just checking to make sure cuz I'm not. If I have an Inquisitor with a retinue of 3 familars. That would boost his initiative by 3 correct? Now at the start of the battle does that lock is initiative that high or does it go down if the familars die? Thanks!
If they can be killed and they give a bonas then when they die the bonas goes away

Urk, then are the retinues honestly that helpful? In my experience they all die off to quickly.
I think it is in a faq somewhere but i do believe that the bonuses the retinue gives you stays with you even if the model giving the bonus is killed. Or at least that is how my group plays it.
If the retinue is killed you still keeps the stats.
Ask not the ruleboys a question for they shall give you three answers each true and terrifying to behold
according to the FAQ you get to keep the stat increases, likewise the psychic power granted by the familiar.
You keep statline increases, but not other abilites. So you'd keep the +1 Initiative for having a familiar, but lose the ability to shoot deepstrikers from a Mystic.
And Zelse, no matter how many Familiars you have, you only get +1 to Initiative. 2 Familiars will NOT give you +2, and so on. Same with any number of warriors only giving him +1 WS total, etc.
Oh ok, thanks everyone. However, does anyone have a source for this so that I can back it up when people contest it?
Dh codex, page 13, right above the Henchmen Statline. I think they also address it in the FAQ.
