So my brother built a Blood Ravens army under the 4th ed codex. All his marines infiltrated, so he took no rhinos or drop pods, and 2/3rds of the tac marines are carrying a boltgun in one hand and a chainsword in the other.
So, now they need to be converted to 5th ed. My recommendation to him as that they be fielded as Space Wolves, so that he would get to keep all the special abilities (true grit and counter-attack minus infiltrate... would need to buy some rhinos). This would change up his list a bit, but kinda kill some fluff with a lack of librarians (which are a big part of the army... the flying librarian and terminator librarian models would have to be rune priests or something...). The other option is to just field them as vanilla marines, with possibly taking Shrike and getting some other "raven-like" qualities to the army.
What do you guys think?
Right, but Shrike is fun to play with and could help with letting some infiltrators in. He could just make up the name of some Blood Raven to call him :-) Also, he has like 4 full units of marines with bolters and chainswords, so it wouldn't really be WYSIWYG to just keep them...

I'm sure it would slide.
