If Slaanesh is the god of the Perverse, why does Nurgle have all the filth?
Well, I will come from the angle of making this a Fluffy Crimson Fists army, as that is how i like to build my armies.
First of all you need a bit of background on them (I don't remember everything off the top of my head), but they are a second founding chapter, and the space fortress was blown up by a stray missile in a fight with a number of Ork warbands that where attacking their sector. A small Number survived the explosions, although a very large part of the chapter lost thier lives (que the crying).
Pedro kantor lead the survivers across the base of the Rynn world to the capital city, where they held off and fought the orks for 18 months.
These events basically lead to the Chapter actually having more Elite Troops (specialised) then Battle Brothers (tactical marines).
IMO this means that CF armies can get away with and should field more points f their army in other areas then troops... and there are ways the army doesnt disadvantage itself by this. As usual you should field some Tac marines, but if you run Kantor, you can also get your sternguard as scoring units as well.
CF armies should have sternguard, Termies, Tac marines, dev sqauds and similar choices. I feel that it is wrong for them to have too much armour like land speeders and bikes, so imo they wouldnt have much in the way of fast attacks, as they are primarily in the role of infiltration and strike attacks for the imperium at present anyway until the chapter is back up to strengh.
I would say dreads are fine, as well as a few tanks though.
Hope this helps.
 Orks Tau,
SM WHFB Chaos
I wouldn't say Crimson Fists have more Termies than other chapters due to no one being able to make Terminator Armour any more. However I would think Vanguard would be a good unit to use with the Fists.
Get another Tac squad and a Captain/Chaplain/Librarain to lead them.
While playing small games, the Sternguard are too expensive, but once you have a decent sized list you should field at least 1 if not 3 squads of these bad boys (especially if you get Kantor to lead the army).
GW have finally made the Tactical Squad the awesome backbone squad that it should always have been, and you should always take plenty.
Also Crimson Fists love Fists, so bring plenty of Powerfists!
