Ok so I have been putting some Rhino's together but keep running across the same problem with the models. The top part just doesn't line up decently so it never glues down good. Anyone have any secrets for Rhino assembly?
I know exactly what you are on about, they can be a right pain. Sometimes the top hull will sort of "click" into place. Sometimes it won't.
My top tip would be rubber bands - once you have the hull on and the polystyrene cement (plastic glue) is starting to set, wrap the model with a few strong ones, strategically positioned to hold the relevant parts together until fully set.
This has helped me make sure several rhino and rhino variants have fit together properly.
I too have had this problem, it seems like the same (infamous) problem the landspeeder has.
Chriscarter had the right idea, follow his lead.
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

14 rhino (or varients) later i've never had a problem. Are you cleaning them up? (especially towards the end parts of the top plates - that does need a file) - I normally put plastic glue on the main contact points, and then a spot of superglue on the inside - a little bit of filing and it's seamless

I always clean them up religiously - I learned that lesson fairly on. I think sometimes it's just (bad) luck of the draw.
After putting FW models together though, unruly Rhinos seem like a piece of cake by comparison
Only ever had this problem with the one landraider in my possession, the rhinos are infinitely easier to glue together. Try fitting all the parts together dry before you glue them in to make sure they fit properly also helps.
