In the options for the command squad it says that any veteran may take a storm shield and in the armory it says that all it does is prevent the user from geting the +1 attack from 2 ccbw's. Does this mean i can have a veteran with a thunder hammer, flamer and a storm shield?
Nothing more funny than 3 inquisitors with sanctify when facing deamons. They cant do anything while you stand in front of them having a tee break.
Sure does! SS are a fine compliment to Thunder Hammers now that 2nd weapons are so expensive (ie another hamme). Also means the marine might live long enough to swing the hammer, too.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
Looking at the entry in the army list, a Veteran in a command squad can carry 2 weapons AND (if they want to) a storm shield. They start with a boltgun OR a boltpistol, but only the boltpistol can be exchanged....for some strange reason.
Nowhere in the codex does it list any weapons (apart from the Relic Blade) as being either one or two handed. Somewhat annoying I think, considering the fuss they made of it all last edition.
