I am building an army of 3,000 points to play in an Apocalypse battle, so what I have decided to do is play with a 1,500 infantry company and then has a 1,500 armored company. My question is can I bring in doctrine such a harden fighter (for a sentinels) form the IG codex into an armored company? I do know it does say they canít use them because they are infantry regiments, but I am only using a doctrine which belongs to a vehicle. I canít see why I canít use the doctrine, can anyone tell me if I can use the doctrine?
The doctrines for Imperial Guard are different to the Doctrines for Armoured Company.
So any tanks taken by the Guard half will not benefit from Armoured Comapny Doctrines.
Just pick the sets separately as normal, and don't get mixed up
Arch Overfiend & Grand Despot
I currently play:
Doom Eagle Space Marines
Hive Fleet Omega Tyranids
Goff Ork Boyz(dead)
Tau of O'me
Inquisitorial Xeno Hunters
and my attempted foray into fantasy
'Dark Angel Green' Dark Elves in need of fluff
Since your playing apocalypse anyway just have all your sentinels belong to the infantry section as their scouts and give them hardened fighters
Most Notable Achievements:

Killed 900 pts worth of Blood Angels in 2 turns while only loosing 4 pts.
