I normally play orks (just started) but I have two AoBR Dreadnoughts, i want to buy a right arm Plasma cannon off of forge world to use on an AoBR dread. Are the forge world pieces compatible with AoBR or would i have to buy an older dreadnaught? Thanks
In terms of size and styling, the Black Reach Dread is the same as the standard one, save for a smaller powerplant. So the arms are the right size and style.
I'm not totally sure about the mounting pegs, but they appear to be the same size as normal, too - so they ought to mount just fine. (anybody who's actually built the thing want to confirm this?)
Yea it should work for he pegs are smaller than the holes in the arms, but not vise versa.

it will still work, youll just have to do a little cutting, glueing and possibly gsing, unfortunately this doesnt allow for the interchangeablity that normal sm dreads have.
Thanks everyone! I'm gonna give it a shot... Thanks again!
A common way of handling changeable weapons is to use small magnets. In these cases you tend to cut off any mounting pegs anyway so it shouldn't be a problem.
Adding magnets is a fairly simple job so I would encourage you to look into that as it will give you more flexibility in how you can tool of the ol' feller.
I wish someone had told me this years ago when I glued the arms on my Dnought.
