Well I am new to space marines, acutally this is my 3rd day playing them. I am looking to build a 1k point force and my question is, do I mechanize? I know there are benefits and problems of a mech army but if i am taking 2 tac squads with a missle launcher and a flamer should I throw them in a transport or save the 60 points for something else? I am thinking of running 2 tac squads, and a Chapter master with the 4x artificer armor and possably throwing them in a Razorback. Well I have no clue if I should or not. Please help this newb! Laugh if you must be help!
In 1000points, its a tough (and often personal) call mate.
I would say do it. The points limit is small, so most enemy forces will have a bit of a tough time taking down a rhino. Taking down two would make things more difficult still, plus while the limited number of enemy troops are wasting fire on your rhino's, that fire is not being directed onto your men!
60points is roughly the same as 3marines or 4scouts (roughly!). Will 3marines last as long as two rhino's in a 1000point game?
Well currently in my 1k point list I am running 2x Predator Destructors, 1x whirlwind, 2x Tac Squads in Rhinos and a Dreadknought. I am thinking of running heavy armor but I have only played 1 game so I am unsure if i should use the points for more marines.

War is a very simple thing, and the determining characteristics are self-confidence, speed, and audacity. None of these things can ever be perfect, but they can be good."
