In 5th edition how effective are they? are they better taken extremely cheap or load them out with lots of guns?
Is one variant obviously better than another? I was thinking a couple of multi-melta landspeeders would be good but would a attack bike be more survivable?
Most Notable Achievements:
Killed a Revenant Titan in one shot.
Killed 900 pts worth of Blood Angels in 2 turns while only loosing 4 pts.
The only way i currently field them is with a typhoon missile laucher. I think it the best option. 2 shots at varying strengths is great in my opinion. You can fire two blasts even after moving along with the heavy bolder. Of 2 Str 8 to take care of tanks and the like.
Multi meltas are good, but the attack bike is alittle more survivable than the speeder. So i would take the bike with Multi Melta instead of the speeder.
With the new rules you cant shoot an assault cannon and heavy bolter when moving at cruising speed so its not worth in. I take dreadnoughts if i want assault cannons, or terminators.
All the options for speeders make them amazing and great for all situations. Try out a variant or two and see what works best for you.
