Hey everyone, I'm looking for some one patient and dedicated who can occassionally assist me by answering questions and explaining rules over MSN Messenger. Preferably some one in the north american time zones, but anywhere is fine if you're online often.
Currently I'm plotting out war gear for each model of my chapter with the hopes of building as many unique and characterful models as possible by using as many variations as possible. The tough part is the ambiguity of the rules and the codex. IE: for a Veteran Squad Sgt, can I give him a combi-melta and a lightning claw? Sure the points cost is high, but having only one ccw, does he lose his 2nd attack bonus in assault? I've noticed the honour guard models that come with marneus calgar in antilochus armor carry a bolter AND a relic axe (which means only one attack in assault).
These are the kinds of questions I have, probably answered easily and quickly by some one with experience, but I'm from a very remote town and have no one to play with and learn from (I'm building the army for the eventuality that I move to a city.
thank you. PM me or add me to msn. firstname.lastname@example.org
Just added you too. Hope to be of some help!
Ressurecting Alaric to help you out mate It's been awhile since I posted, but I've got my stuff down, gimme a shout if you need something. I think this MsN idea is good.
If you feel that I have been helpful, please click the star, and do the same for anyone else who gives you a hand.

Sorry I can't help you, but if you're looking for that kinda help, I'm going to also recommend this:
Vassal 40K Module
Not only can you chat with the other, but you can visually see examples and situations that may help you get a better understanding of things.
Plus when you think you're ready, you can play a game to see if any other questions pop up, and trust me, when you play for the first time, there's always new questions xD
I've started not long ago and always find out things I didn't know ^^
Just wanted to say thanks, and I'm very impressed with the responses I've gotten so far. Great community on here willing to help, and although it might be a long road (lol, as some of you already know), I do appreciate it. Soltyrei, I'm gonna check out that prog in a bit, looks great, but I'm sidetracked at the moment, this month's White Dward just arrived heheh
