How do you model Braziers of Holy Fire for WYSIWYG?
Also, if a cannoness has the following equipment, how would you model her?
Blessed Weapon, Brazier, Cloak of St. Aspira, Book of Saint Lucius, Litanies of Faith
And one more thing, is there anything that you do to make your dominions different then your normal sisters?
Thanks in Advance
With Dominions and Cels, I paint them a different color
Ie my Standard SOBs are Brozen
my Dominions are Silver
My Cels are Goldern
And my Reb is white
Sisters Of Battle "Order of the Holy Flame"
Nids "Splinter Fleet Bestia"
as for modeling brazier if you can sculpt a green stuff flame onto a staff that would work.
ther is a lot of diffrent books and such in bitz, so my suggestion to your load out would be a heavy weapon body model with a flowing cape reading from a large book holding a staff with flame in the other and a mennancing looking axe or sword slung across her back ( rember sisters are smaller so as an example y cannones uses the power axe from the assault marines sprue and it looks the part of a 2 handed wpn )
as far as the other problem goes besides color you could take all of the sisters with helmets as your celestians, the ones with grenades as domions and the rest as bss.
Good luck to you.
Hm, the blessed weapon comes with the cannoness. She has a book hanging at her hip, so that could either represent the book of St. Lucius or the Litanies or both. Add another book if you want to make it "truly wysiwyg".
As for the brazier I think a flame torch of some kind would be right. If prize is not too much of a problem, I'd take that thing of the one model in the Witch Hunter Henchmen pack and just put it on her arm with bolt pistol (after carefully removing the pistol of course).
Kill the mutant! Purge the unclean!
I've always wanted to do a sort of "mace" version of the Brazier: a handle gripped in the model's hand, with three small lengths of chain leading from the handle tip to various spots on the grate-with-flames part from the Inquisitor Lord Henchman. Never had the balls to do it, though...my modelling skills aren't all they could be
I run a Brazier on an Acolyte, and I basically just use the stock model with the flame grate on top of the staff.
The Emperor set a fire in their hearts that they might burn the iniquitous and the impure from his sight. And the light of that flame shall be as a beacon to the faithful, a light that shines in the darkest places.
Blessed Weapon: Anything two handed and suitably ornate (remember, it's a very special weapon). I take the chainsword that comes with the canoness and extend the grip so it's the size of a pole arm. It can double as an eviscerator if need be.
Brazier: Flaming maces and flails, any flaming weapon works though I'm partial to the flame-spewing censer swinging on the end of a chain.
Cloak of St. Aspira: The cape she comes with is just fine.
Book of Saint Lucius and/or Litanies of Faith: I'd be happy with books, scrolls, stone tablets, etc. Anything that indicates written word.

And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
Well, I've done the Blessed Chainsword thing, too. Paint it gold using the same method I use for my Tomb Kings, and it looks suitably special. For the Brazier I'd probably take one of the torches from a cannoness backpack and put it on a stick. This is, of course, if you've given her a jump pack so that the backpack is free. For the Cloak, I'd simply use the modelled-on one. As for Litanies, I always imagined that was something she'd be shouting as she jumped into the fray, so it'd be kinda hard to model, no?
As for Celestians, I simply use the helmeted Sisters.
For celestians just use normal sister but give them a special trend. Mine have fler de lis on all their helms (like the plasma pistol superior) and have gold trim on their shoulders and chest pieces(Yes boobs). It makes them look eccentric and infuentially different.
I also paint the plate on their bolters gold.
You may have a grotesquely large cleaver, you may have a guargaunteous fire arm BUT I have the flames of faith.
I use a white armour/red cloth scheme for my army. For my Sisters, the helmet is all white or does not have a helmet. For my Dominions, the helmet is white with a red face-piece. For Retributors, the helmet is white with a black face-piece. For Celestians, the helmet is white with a gold face-piece.
I never do the switch-out thing. I make squads whole and either choose to take it or not.
Mongol General: Conan, what is best in life?
Conan: To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women!
