Hey, I got a couple questions about this tank. I found a reference to this tank at The Bolter and Chainsword - Librarium - Salamanders: A Comprehensive History : A 40k Space Marine Resource, which is actually a pretty cool spot for a lot of the Salamander history and such, but I came to another one of my dilema's i've been having while making up my army. The Vindicator i'm making, should I make it into Vulcanus. Now besides the part of just writing Vulcanus on the tanks tabards, what else should this special named tank have? Has anyone ever modeled one, or seen one?
I'm really curious to know

In game terms you could give it extra armour and model dragon hide extra plates on it. Someone on Bolter & Chainsword has an article on greenstuffing some of the recessed armour plates and carving scales into them. They look rather good.
If you wanted to make up super dooper rules for the thing then design your own apocalypse datasheet for it. Use it as a normal vindicator in regular 40K games but do something like master craft the main gun and give the thing increased side armour for Apoclypse games and pay an extra 50 points.
Quorn! - Protein for the Protein God.
never seen anything like it but making the barrel into a salamander's head with the mouth as the breach would be really cool
