I have taken to the idea of collecting Space Marines.
The idea I have is to collect...RAVEN GUARD.
You heard it here first.
Anyway, as I understand it, most of the chapter was destroyed and there was no chance for the remnants to get their weapons and armour back.
So, they are stuck with old armour. What I would like to know is:
Are there plastic parts of the "beak" helmets available? I do wish to make them close to original, so I do need those. Maybe there's also parts of power armour that they used to wear available? Any help on, well, anything you can tell me on the Raven Guard, will be greatly appreciated.
On the new Space Marine sprue there is 1 beakie head, and 1 MkVI Patern chest plate. If you plan on making a whole army from those, then I would suggest to just bits order alot of the beakie heads or whatever, or trade with people at your local store (most people arround me stay away from beakie heads, and old armour)

Yes, the Raven Guard and their gear were all but annihilated at Isstvan, but they've had 10,000 years to rebuild, and their homeworld is for all intents and purposes a small forge world. That, combined with the spare gear that a full fledged Legion would have kept in reserve back at base means that they don't suffer from any real lack of equipment.
Still though - they ARE a first founding legion, and as such they'll definitely have a decent amount of very old marks of armour and equipment, combat losses or not. The "beakie" helmets are the ones with the pointed beaks instead of the blunt faceplates. And the Mk.VI chestplate... Is that the one with the high collar armour? Or is that actually a much newer type? I dunno on that one.
Pretty sure the high-collared armor is the newer mk.8 Imperator armor.

Here's my 2 cent contribution to what the armors may look like
Power Armour - Lexicanum
The Mk 6 'Corvus Armor' armor appears to have a beak helmet and the Mk 5 'Heresy Armor' has the X harness around the torso... if those were the designs you guys were looking for.
and I'm All for Beakies. they're easier to paint

I have sadly passed that line o.0?
Full Mk6 armor looks like this.
The helmet can be found in most power armor squads, or you could bits order or trade. The same goes for the legs.
Problem is, the only Mk6 torso still produced is a single one on a Space Wolf sprue (see the model on the right), and it has a necklace in the way. Unless you really want to convert a lot of those, I'd just go with some of the more readily avaliable parts such as Mk5 or 7.
