I am thinking of buying the new sternguard box. But i don't know what extra weapons they cane with.
Can anyone tell me what weapons the box comes with extra? (what combi, how many, heavy weapons, etc)?
Also is it worth taking combi weapons when there amo is so good?
Thanks a lot

3 basic Sternguard, 1 with a Bolter and Powerfist, and another with a choice of Combi-Plasma or -Melta.
It is worth taking combi-weapons because they do get the special ammo. They also add versitility, be it in template, rapid fire ap2, or ap1 melta form.
Are there enough arms in the box so that you don't have to use the power fist, or is it on there for the start?
unfortunatly its a metal box and so it basicly somes wiht only one option so you have to have the powerfist however i dont see why you cant just stick on a different arm from a tacticle squad or something.
Nothing more funny than 3 inquisitors with sanctify when facing deamons. They cant do anything while you stand in front of them having a tee break.
So then am i right in saying that all if them are solid metal and that they all came ready built?
They pretty much come without their arms attached except for the powerfist guy; otherwise, they are ready built once flash is removed.
Yeah, but the power fist is easily snipped off like I did with one of my boxes, just stick haf a biker arm with an Auspex in the hand.
Just had an idea. As i play with Vulkan He'stan i was thinking of giving and 8 man squad all combi-meltas. Thats all for 240pts. Re-rolling hits as well.
How hard would it be to comvert the normal sternguard models to have combi-meltas?
