Since 5th came out the people at my gaming club have been adament about not giving the GK player (me) any breaks with the new rules, the first thing they said was "GKLRs don't get the improved machine spirit" Which I'm totally okay with, the weapons are twin linked anyways.
My question I pose to you is this, do GKLRs and GKLRCs get any machine spirit at all!? I have not been able to find anything in the codex about this, but just assumed it does because it's a land raider.
Awesome, thank you.
Doesn't get the increased capacity though.
If your gaming "friends" are going to be such RAW literalists, you actually have a lot to cheer about with respect to 5th edition and our poor, outdated DH codex.
As already pointed out, the official GW FAQ gives our GK raiders the new Machine Spirit rules.
But wait! There's more! Our Force Weapons don't actually cause instant death; they just remove all of a model's wounds. And our smoke launchers don't provide 4+ cover, they reduce all hits to glancing hits.
Yes, our Assault Cannons are only Assault 3, but that is a very small price to pay for all the benefits our outdated rules still manage to provide. For a complete list, check out Marid's DH Gotcha FAQ over on the B&C.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

Haha, thanks number 6, I recently played a tyranid player and ripped him to shreds, 5th addition has definetly been good to us! Though I would still never take a LRC, I love the regular ones too much, and I don't take large termie squads anyways.
I had so much fun ready that Gotch List
