I love my vindicator. I never leave for W40k games without it, and for good reason. It has always performed remarkably well for me, and even took a 6 turns of a lascannon firing at it's front and a side-armor shot from a meltagun 3 inches away, and the worst it came out with was a crew-stunned result. So I feel it needs a name.
Problem is, I can't think of a good one, so I'd like to ask you all for suggestions and perhaps any names you've got for your vehicles that I can use for inspiration.
Thanks in advance!
Here are a couple:
The Emperor's Voice (The demolisher cannon going off)
Incendior (incendia "fire")
Aestous (aestuo "blaze")
Fidestelum (fides "faith", telum "spear")
Efflixior (efflixi "destroy")
Not sure if those Latin words are all correct, its been a while since high school. Hope you find a good one!
If you need a creative idea, just ask. Im full of... stuff.
Your chapters background should help you decide the name of your machine as well as having a read through your codex for inspiration.
I play a Fallen Angels chapter and named my Land Raider Redeemer "Lucifer" because 1) Lucifer is a judean fallen angel and 2) Stick matches at one point were commonly known as lucifers.
I named my Vindicator PAX IMPERIALIS (The Imperium's Peace) just for the irony of it.
"Fear not and look up to the sky for salvation, for we have entered orbit."
