Does anyone know if the Apothecary's gene-seed remover is used as a second close combat weapon? And if so does it count as a power weapon??
Falco's Marines will Annihilate the foe on swift wings of vengeance!
The answer to both- no, however, as long as you tell your opponent you can use it as a CCW, and if you pay for the upgrade( and tell your opponent) you can use the model's hand as any type of Power weapon you wish.
I am not sure if you can buy any upgrades for Apothecaries unfortunately...
Slightly unfortunate, as the arm piece depicted on (most) apothecaries has that small chain sword attached to the outer side of his hand which would make a wonderful second CCW.
Unfortunately, the lads here are right. Its neither a second weapon or power weapon. Sorry mate =(
I am not sure if you can buy any upgrades for Apothecaries unfortunately...Correct, so no Power Weapon. But all members of the command squad now come with a Bolter, Bolt Pistol and a Chainsword now.Slightly unfortunate, as the arm piece depicted on (most) apothecaries has that small chain sword attached to the outer side of his hand which would make a wonderful second CCW.
No problem with counting the chain blade as the apothecary's chainsword.

Technically Corianis is correct, since all members of the command squad are armed with bolt pistol and chainsword base, and the apothecary has his equipment on top of that, he already has the chainsword and bolt pistol and so gains the extra attack
