i wish they would make a new model for the heavy wep crews. they dont look like they should be moving 6" or retaleating in cc. i mean its a guy sitting in a chair "CHARGIN HIS LAZA" they look so weird i dont use them i use specail weps and light intfantry snipers instead
What do you call a lasgun with a lazer scope?
a twin linked lasgun.... HA haha haha
They are quite big, can never fit them in buildings which is bad because I want to a cover save. Rocket launchers are ok because you can fit them on single model. Shame they don't fire a special AP2 rocket launcher that cost the same as a lascannon, simply for practibility.
making lascannons fit in buildins is easy, stick the lascannon to a 40mm base, the 2 crew to 25mm bases, one with an auspex, and there yah go remote control lascannons like back in the old days, with a little base conversion work (trimming a 25mm to fit on a 40mm base) you can fit the gunner on too
Are you on about the old heavy weapons because the plastic ones arent in chairs they ar kneeling. They can be made a little more dynamic with a bit of easy converting as well. TBH they are heavy weapons they arent meant to look mobile without some trouble which fits the no move and fire rule!
As for making them more dynamic I have a heavy bolter team on the move so it can be done!
Hope that helps
I took a bunch of old Epic Imperial Bombards, removed the actual weapon from the chassis, trimmed off the post on the bottom of the heavy weapon then pinned the weapon to the little metal treads that were left... giving me little mobile remote controlled heavy weapons.
You can try it with the new bombard epics but I think the Griffon chassis would be the better choice.
I do the same as Stella Cadente with the larger heavy weapons, mount the gun on a 40mm base and the crew on seperate 25mm bases, also with some extra/scratch-built tripods you can cheat and have easily interchangable guns for the crewmen. The only downside to this is that it can be difficult to pose the gunner.
However, personally I tend to use Missile Launchers in infantry squads and they are are very easy, I just give it to a normal guy on a 25mm base.
